More… Environmental Enforcement Department is looking for county citizens willing to foster farm animals which we encounter as being stray or running at large. We are generally speaking of following types of animals, goats, sheep, cows and horses. To be placed on our foster list the individual would need to be willing to assist with transporting if required and willing to house the farm animal. If no owner comes forward then the animal will be released to the fostering agent. A site inspection will be made by Environmental Enforcement staff prior to being approved. If an owner is found, the fostering agent is required to give the animal back to said owner. State law does allow for the fostering agent to recoup some cost from the owner. Less…
